Every good story deserves a proper arrival. We take care in packaging your books and bookish treasures so they reach you ready to enjoy.

Order Processing

In-stock orders are typically prepared for shipment within 7 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.

Orders placed during busy seasons or special promotions may require additional processing time. Any applicable processing estimates will be displayed at checkout or on the product page.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the order, shipping destination, and available shipping methods.

Delivery Estimates

Estimated delivery times depend on the shipping carrier, service selected, and destination.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.

Preorders & Seasonal Book Boxes

Preorder products, including our seasonal book advent calendars, have separate expected shipping dates displayed on their product pages.

If your order contains both in-stock and preorder items, fulfillment arrangements will be disclosed before purchase.

Shipping Delays

If we cannot ship your order within the promised timeframe, we will contact you with information about the delay and your options.

Where required by law, you may consent to a revised shipping date or cancel the affected order for a prompt refund.

Lost or Damaged Packages

If your order arrives damaged, please contact books@velvetmothbooks.com within 7 days of delivery whenever possible.

For missing or lost packages, please contact us so we can investigate with the carrier and determine an appropriate resolution.

Any limitations on carrier responsibility do not eliminate our obligations under applicable law.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses

Customers are responsible for entering accurate shipping information at checkout.

If an address needs correction, contact us immediately. We cannot guarantee changes once an order has shipped.

Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect address may apply when legally permitted.
